05 Jan 1 million meals donated to people in need across BC, AB and SK
Through the Retail Food Recovery Program, the Buy-Low Foods, Nesters Market, AG Foods and Meinhardt Fine Foods stores that FoodMesh works with – 45 in total – have collectively donated the equivalent of more than 1 million meals to the vulnerable in communities across B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan.
That is:
815,600 KG of food rescued
1.5 million KG of CO2 emissions saved from entering the atmosphereA huge congratulations to everyone who participates in this program for being food rescue heroes!
