It’s official. The retailers and other food businesses we work with, including Save-On-Foods, Urban Fare, Fresh St. Market, IGA of BC, Buy-Low Foods, Nesters Market, AG Foods, Meinhardt Fine Foods and Daiya, are collectively rescuing the equivalent of **1 million meals** every single month.

They save all of the food they can no longer sell – but is still perfectly edible – and share it with a network of outstanding charitable organizations across Canada, who redistribute that food to the people in our communities who need it most.

While it can often be easier to just discard unsalable food, these organizations are taking a stand against food waste, by ensuring that the maximum amount of their unsold food is being diverted to charities for meals, rather than ending up in our waste streams.

The photos here feature just a handful of the amazing organizations we work with, but there are hundreds across the country working tirelessly every day to waste less and feed more.
