6% of food grown is not picked due to cosmetic imperfections, because food that is not considered “perfect”,  likely won’t have a market. 

What can we do about it?

We have been conditioned to expect food to look a certain way, with uninformed colours, shapes and sizes. Let’s try to put a stop to that practice, and start to choose the ugly food first!
